8/18/2008 - Attempted Robbery

During the early morning on July 10th, 2008, a man was walking through the Bywaters park area when he was approached by an Africana American male near Market Square, who displayed a knife and demanded all of his money.

 

After a brief altercation, the suspect fled the scene, and has not been identified. The suspect is described an African American male wearing a hooded sweatshirt and had a medium build.

 

No one was hurt, nor was there any money taken, but Investigators need your help!!!


8/11/2008 - 4th of July FM 195 Burglary

Over the July 4th weekend, unknown persons forced entry into a residence located on FM 195 in Blossom. Once inside, persons ransacked the entire residence. And in addition, they removed a big screen TV, video game consoles, a complete home theater, and various CD’s and VHS tapes.

 

During the investigation, a window on the shop building was found broken out, as well; resulting in a tool box of tools and some outdoor power equipment was removed as well.

 

This burglary put a local resident out nearly $5500, and

8/4/2008 - Dolphin Swim Club Vandalism

On June 22nd, 2008, at the Dolphin Swim Club in Paris, an unknown person or persons made entry into the swimming area after hours. While inside, persons responsible ripped the tops off of some park benches, and pushed a riding lawn mower into the South end of the pool.

 

Upon further inspection of the scene, it was evident that gasoline had leaked out of the mower, and into the pool, causing management to close the club for a period of time; and raising damage estimates over $1600!


7/28/2008 - Forgery suspect

You could earn a reward of up to $1000! By helping Lamar County Crime Stoppers and Paris Police identify a Forgery and Identity Theft suspect.

 

On June 6th, 2008, at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Paris, an unknown African American male (shown in this video) wrote several checks totaling nearly $5000 using different names and account numbers.

 

From further information gathered from the stores video surveillance, it appears this suspect could be one of a group of persons passing counterfeit checks in the North and East Texas areas, and may be driving a newer model white Chevy Avalanche.

 


7/21/2008 - Burglary in Petty, Texas

Sometime between Sunday June 15th and Tuesday June 17th, an unknown person or persons kicked in the door of a shop building on CR 26800 in Petty.

 

The owners of the building reported several lawn and power tools were removed totaling over $25,000; including three large riding lawn mowers.
